I kveld såg eg The Hours, ein film som krinsar kring Virginia Woolfs liv og romanen "Mrs. Dalloway". Den gjorde sterkt inntrykk, og nokre gode utsegn får derfor plass her (utsegna er tekne ut av samanheng):
Virginia Woolf: You cannot find peace by avoiding life, Leonard.
--
Virginia Woolf: To look life in the face, always, to look life in the face and to know it for what it is.
--
Virginia Woolf: Someone has to die in order that the rest of us should value life more. It's contrast.
--
Kitty: All my life I could do anything. I could do anything, really. Except the one thing I wanted.
